Onyx Security has raised 113 million dollars in a Series B led by Bessemer Venture Partners, four months after a 40 million dollar Series A. That brings the total raised to 153 million and values the company at around 640 million. Cyberstarts, TCV, Conviction, FirstMark, Vintage Investment Partners, QuantumLight and G Squared also took part.
The product is a control platform: enterprises use it to monitor autonomous AI agents, govern what they may do, and enforce rules on them in real time. That is a different proposition from securing a system against attack. It assumes the risk is software the company deployed on purpose and now cannot fully see.
The founders come from the two institutions this sector usually draws on. Maxim Bar Kogan, the chief executive, served in Unit 8200 and was previously vice president of product and engineering at Mixtiles. Gil Elbaz was an AI architect at Nvidia and before that a senior algorithm developer in the air force's operational technology arm.
Two numbers describe the position better than the valuation does. The company employs more than 80 people across Israel, the United States and Canada, and says it secures 1.1 million agents for customers. Anthropic integrated its technology in June, which is the sort of endorsement that is harder to buy than a funding round.
