Hamas sources cited by AFP say Jared Kushner is due to meet the group in Egypt with Egyptian and Qatari officials in the room, and then travel on to Israel to see Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Kushner has already met President Abdel Fattah el-Sissi at El Alamein about implementing the ceasefire agreed in October 2025. The Egyptian spokesman Mohamed El Shennawy said all parties need to fulfil their obligations under it.
